Miranda Lambert’s Advice to Her Younger Self Is So Relatable

Miranda Lambert wishes she had let herself enjoy the ride a little bit more.
The country music star reflected on the road she's taken to where she is now as she doled out some advice to her younger self at the 2024 People's Choice Country Awards in Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 26, saying she has "a lot" she would share, given the chance.
"I would also say, 'enjoy the ride,'" Miranda exclusively told Heather McMahan on Live From E!: People's Choice Country Awards. "'Slow down a little bit.' I've been a horse with blinders for so long just working toward a goal, and I think I did miss a few things by pushing."
The "Wranglers" singer added, "I think I'd just tell her to take a chill pill, have another Tito's and roll through it." (For every star on the red carpet, head on over here.)
Miranda also told Live From E! that, as she looks forward in her career, there are "so many" female musicians she hopes to work with on future projects, declaring that she's "drawn to the girls."
She also noted that she had a "magical" time singing with pal Kelly Clarkson on season premiere of The Kelly Clarkson Show Sept. 24, where they dueted on her new song, "No Man's Land," as well as a cover of Chappell Roan's "Good Luck, Babe!"
But that wasn’t the only moment Miranda proved she can have a good time. While accepting the Country Icon Award at the 2024 PCCAs, Miranda also gave her favorite vodka a shoutout onstage.
"The fact that I get this award tonight is just blowing my mind," she declared during her speech. "It’s a lot of years, tears, beers and Tito’s, if I’m being honest."
The Grammy-winning country singer went on to thank her fans for supporting her throughout her 20-year career.
"I feel like I've been able to make so many great memories in my life and career because of fans," Miranda continued. "Y’all allow me to keep creating all these years. Thank you so much to the most loyal fans in the world."
The "Famous in a Small Town" hitmaker's husband of five years, Brendan McLoughlin, was there to support her on her big night and accompanied her on the red carpet earlier in the evening.
"Brendan's the best," Miranda told E! News of her hubby at the 2024 MTV VMAs earlier this month. "He's down for anything, super happy and supportive, in the best way. Let's me do my thing, but is right there beside me and it's really awesome."
